E-mail from Sheila Byrne, CEO of the brilliant Hope Street charity in Ormskirk to Lancashire's new High Sheriff Helen Bingley who made a great impression when visiting last month!
She wrote: 'I’d like to say what an absolute pleasure it was to have you at Hope Street on 24th April.
'The feedback from customers was lovely, and mirrors my sentiments; they remarked on “how nice it is to have a High Sheriff who is genuine and down-to-earth.”
'They really did hold you in high regard, and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
'One lady waited while you were speaking to Terry Aldridge (former Mayor) to thank you for giving your time to visit our services; I’m passing on this message on her behalf because it’s taken a lot for her to have the confidence to take such steps.'
